US: Trump’ll win third term presidency on Jan 20, 2029 – Advisor, Steve Bannon

Published on April 13, 2025 at 05:38 AM

Steve Bannon, a long time ally of President Donald Trump of the United States, US, has reiterated that the president will run for a third term.

Bannon informed Bill Maher that Trump would be reelected on January 20, 2029 for a third term.

He disclosed this to Maher on an episode of “Real Time” on Friday night, Fox News reports.

During the discussion, Maher disclosed that the US constitution prohibits a third term, while reading the 22nd Amendment.

Maher said: “Amendment 22. No person shall be elected to the office of the president more than twice.

“And yet you keep talking about Trump's — maybe you should have this.”

But, Bannon, an Adviser to Trump said: “President Trump is going to run for a third term, and President Trump is going to be elected again on the afternoon of January 20th of 2029. He's going to be President of the United States.”

“OK, but the thing I just read in there,” Maher said, pointing at the Constitution.

“It seemed like there was no wiggle room there, it seemed like it was just, you know, eight or ten words that said only two times.”

Bannon responded “we have a team of people” who are trying to review the amendment.

“How can a team do something about that? I don't care if the team is twelve trillion people, the words are still the words,” Maher asked.

There has been talks about Trump running for a third term shortly after he assumed office as US president for the second term.

Recall that US Speaker, Mike Johnson had disclosed the only way Trump contest for a third term.

This comes as Trump had said he was “not joking” about the possibility of running for a third term as US president.

The 78-year-old Republican claimed there were “methods” for doing just that.

However, Johnson said Trump needs to amend the constitution to become a third term president.
