USC basketball star Alijah Arenas in induced coma after car crash

Five-star prospect and USC commit Alijah Arenas has been placed in a medically induced coma after being involved in a car crash on Thursday.

Arenas, who is the son of NBA star Gilbert Arenas, reportedly crashed his Tesla Cybertruck in Los Angeles around 4:30 am on Thursday.

The crash was first reported by TMZ on Thursday afternoon.

Later, Gilbert Arenas also reacted to the news, saying: “Man, I hope little dude is okay. We all watching and praying for good news.”;

Meanwhile, the Gil's Arena show, which is hosted by Gilbert Arenas, was also cancelled.

Several fans posted their prayers in the comments at the time of filing this report.

Arenas currently plays for Chatsworth High School, Los Angeles.

The 18-year-old had committed to the University of Southern California.
