MOST of us will use a vacuum cleaner to give our homes a little spruce-up once a week.
But did you know there's a ”proper” way to untangle the cord in just two seconds?

This game-changer of a discovery was recently shared on by mum Amanda, who only learnt about the not long ago.
If you don't have one of the viral , chances are you're using an upright vacuum – which comes with a little tab by the handle.
The nook comes in handy when it's time to wrap the cord around and store the vacuum cleaner away.
But turns out, the tab is there for more than just keeping the long cord intact and safe for storing, Amanda discovered earlier this month.
What many fellow fans may not know is that the tab also flips around – meaning you don't have to spend ages removing the cord manually.
Gobsmacked by the revelation, the said in her most recent video: ”I was today years old (40, I'm 40) when I realised I've been taking the cord off the vacuum wrong.
”I've always wondered why this little tab flips around,” Amanda said, before demonstrating how quickly the long cord came off the tab once it had been turned downwards.
”Are you kidding me?!” she couldn't believe the discovery, which is sure to slash the cleaning time.
Amanda went on in the caption: ”Does your vacuum have this?!
”Y’all, my mom worked for for years and I still never knew this until today!”
‘I had no idea until this moment'
The informative clip, shared on Amanda's page, @amandasparkles9, has since gone viral, winning the mum more than 4.5million views and close to 113k likes.
A staggering 4,747 people flooded to comments – where there was a fierce debate on how really ”common” this knowledge was.
”this app makes me feel really good about myself,” said one who appeared to have already known this fact.
”I fear this is common knowledge my friend,” another chimed in.
But there were also plenty of those who had no idea their vacuum cleaners boasted such a feature.
”Unfortunately I never connected these dots either lol,” a viewer joked.
”Y’all saying this is common knowledge really hurt my feelings,” someone else cried.
”I had no idea until this moment,” a viewer thanked Amanda – who's also since hit back at the mean comments.
”Even at the risk of ridicule, I couldn’t gatekeep from the masses that were still unwinding by hand!”
