It appears fans are going to have to wait at least another month before booking their trip back to Virgin River or for answers over whether you know who survives. That's right, Virgin River season 3 will not be coming to Netflix in June meaning the wait for new episodes is going to continue.
The full list of June Netflix releases has been unveiled and there are a lot of great new shows and movies coming across the month; however, Virgin River season 3 is not one of them. While disappointing, it's not exactly surprising as the show has never been a summer staple for Netflix.
Although there has been some fluctuation to when the first two seasons of the show have arrived on Netflix, both seasons of the show arrived in the final months of the year. So while it would have been extremely nice to have gotten a surprise summer release, it seems we're indeed going to have to wait until at least late 2021 at the earliest for season 3 to arrive.
Virgin River season 3 release date update
Although Virgin River season 3 is not coming in June 2021, the good news is that it does look like we should get the show's next season sometime this year.
It's been reported production on season 3 might have begun as early as September 2020. If this is the case, one has to imagine filming on the season should be nearing its end or already complete. If this is indeed the case, that should mean Netflix will be able to complete post-production in time for the show to return in the fall of 2021.
Considering season 1 dropped in the first week of December 2019, while season 2 dropped in the final week of November 2020. Should Netflix follow a similar game plan this year, we could see Virgin River season 3 arrive as early as Friday, Nov. 26, 2021 or Friday, Dec. 3, 2021.
