MARRIED At First Sight Australia's newlyweds were left squirming after one of the grooms almost cried over his ‘future son'.

In bizarre scenes, Ryan Donnelly was left holding back tears as he spoke about his imaginary child at the latest Commitment Ceremony.

Ryan and his wife Jacqui Burfoot were ‘flip-flopping' over whether they actually want to be together when the conversation turned to kids.

Jacqui told the experts: “It's not about me. I think about my children.

“So I don't need the validation, need it for my children. I'm happy with how I look, I'm happy with who I am as a person but I don't want to necessarily be in the energy of someone who doesn't do that for my children one day.”

Self-proclaimed warrior Ryan replied: “I take your point that there are times down the road, a long way down the road, where those days will be critical to everyone's self-esteem, everyone's progress and everyone's general harmony in the household.

” So, you're going to get that validation from me. Especially my son. When he comes round.”

Ryan then took a deep breath, raised his fist to his mouth and held back tears.

MAFS Australia fans were left both puzzled and cringing by his odd reaction.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one viewer said: “Tf is he crying about? You don’t even have a son yet.”

Another added: “Is Ryan tearing up over his hypothetical, future son? What is happening?!”

And a third chimed in: “‘You’re gonna get that validation for me ... especially my son.’ What the f*** is going on?! These two are THE. MADDEST. pair I’ve seen!!!”

On the whole, Ryan and Jacqui have failed to see eye-to-eye since their wedding day.

This has not been helped by Jacqui insinuating her long list of academic and personal achievements put her far above Ryan.

In the last week, the couple have also come to blows after Ryan did not rank his wife as ‘the most beautiful girl in the world'.

But not only have fans been left convinced they are ‘actors‘, even MAFS Australia expert John Aiken is tearing his hair out over them.

In Monday night's Commitment Ceremony on E4, Jacqui chopped and changed her opinion on whether she actually liked Ryan.

Looking exasperated, John said to Jacqui: “I need you to help me understand what the hell is going on!”
