tvN’s upcoming drama “Second Shot at Love”; has released a new poster and teaser!
“Second Shot at Love”; is a rom-com that follows Han Geum Ju (Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung), a self-proclaimed “reasonable drinker”; who unexpectedly reunites with her first love Seo Ui Jun (Gong Myoung)—a man who despises alcohol—and decides to take on the challenge of quitting drinking.
The newly released poster captures the characters’ struggle with sobriety in a humorous light. The father-daughter trio—Han Jung Soo (Kim Sang Ho), Han Geum Ju, and Han Hyun Joo (Jo Yoon Hee)—appear tipsy, with flushed cheeks and slouched postures that hint at their lack of motor control. In contrast, Kim Kwang Ok (Kim Sung Ryung) and Seo Ui Jun stand upright, gazing ahead with calm, composed expressions. The visual contrast between the composed pair and the disheveled trio immediately catches the viewer’s eye.
The teaser video adds more charm, showing a warm family meal shared by Han Geum Ju, Seo Ui Jun, Kim Kwang Ok, Han Jung Soo, and Han Hyun Joo.
Set against the peaceful backdrop of Lake Bocheon and clear skies, the mood quickly shifts to comedy. Han Jung Soo, known for his love of alcohol, slyly pours beer disguised as barley tea into a glass and quietly hands it to Han Hyun Joo, who accepts it without hesitation. Rather than committing to sobriety, the two share a secret trick to sneak drinks.
Meanwhile, Han Geum Ju—already looking flushed—sets up the camera and calls out, “I’m going to take a picture now!”; She stumbles slightly as she joins the group, while Kim Kwang Ok, who has declared a household ban on alcohol, and Seo Ui Jun, her sobriety ally, remain unaware of the drinking around them. The result is a group photo that’s a far cry from the intended motto: “In Bocheon, you have to stay sober to keep your wits about you.”
Both the teaser and poster offer a witty take on the family’s not-so-sober reality, cleverly contrasting their outward appearance with their hidden habits. Will the alcohol-loving trio be able to resist temptation?
