First look as Waterloo Road and The Bill star makes Beyond Paradise debut – as tensions begin to rise on the show

A STAR of Waterloo Road and The Bill looks set to make his debut on Beyond Paradise this week.

The BBC series is back for a brand new episode this week and has an array of guest stars on the bill.

One of them is suave Silas Carson who will be appearing on the show as a sailing competitors.

In scenes to be screened on the show, Silas'c character will be locked in a fierce face-off with Jason Hughes' guest character.

Silas and Jason's characters have trained two other sailors and will have a fierce rivalry in the hopes of winning.

A prize of £30,000 and plenty of publicity is up for grabs with Silas' character insisting that “winning” is what his team does.

Further details surrounding the episode are being kept closely under wraps.

Fans will likely recognise Silas from his stints in both The Bill and .

The star played Officer Marcus Swift in ITV police drama The Bill for one year between 2006 and 2007.

He followed it up with guest roles in shows such as The IT Crowd, Outnumbered and The Sarah Jane Adventures.

Silas was then snapped up to join school-based drama Waterloo Road as Stuart Hordley for series 3.

He appeared in nine episodes as the blackmailer of Rachel Mason, the school's headteacher.

As well as his TV roles, fans may also know Silas from his roles in the prequel movies.

He played Ki-Adi-Mundi, among other roles, in all three of the flicks.

Beyond Paradise airs on Friday at 8pm on BBC One.
