‘We have to assess’ – Nottingham Forest coach speaks on Aina’s injury

Published on April 02, 2025 at 06:41 AM

Nottingham Forest manager, Nuno Espirito Santo has confirmed Ola Aina will undergo a scan to ascertain the severity of his injury.

Aina was forced off during Nottingham Forest's 1-0 win over Manchester United at the City Ground on Tuesday night.

The defender required treatment on the pitch in the first half for what appeared to be a calf problem.

The Nigerian, who was replaced by Alex Moreno, is now set for a spell on the sidelines after leaving the stadium on crutches.

“We have to assess. It is always a concern when a player gets injured by himself,” Nuno said after the game.

“He is going to have a scan and we will see how it is. We’re not quite sure what it is, only the scan will say exactly.”;

Aina has scored twice in 30 league appearances for the Tricky Trees this season.
