It looks like Wendy Williams is one step closer to finalizing her divorce from her estranged husband Kevin Hunter. But that single step costs her a quarter of a million bucks.

According to documents obtained by Page Six, Williams has to pay Hunter $250,000 so he can find a new place to live. Hunter also has to move out of the home he shared with Williams in Livingston, N.J. since it was put up for sale during the summer months.

In a recent interview, Williams said Hunter has been slow to sign the divorce papers, and once he does they’ll be able to move forward as friends. But an insider said the nice talk is only a ploy so Hunter will hurry up and sign the papers.

The 55-year-old served Hunter with divorce papers on April 11 on the set of “The Wendy Williams” show, after he was accused of fathering a love child with his alleged mistress Sharina Hudson.

Afterward, Hunter — who was also fired as executive producer of Williams’ show — issued a statement and admitted wrongdoing. Williams also ended The Hunter Foundation, an organization that she started with her ex to help people suffering from addiction.

“I am not proud of my recent actions and take full accountability and apologize to my wife, my family and her amazing fans,” said Hunter in April. “I am going through a time of self-reflection and am trying to right some wrongs.”

And on Wednesday’s episode of “The Wendy Williams Show,” the former radio host threw some shade at Hudson and said she’s unhappy these days, now that she’s with Hunter full time.

“Homegirl is miserable,” said Williams. “In the meantime, I’m over here. That’s what you get.”

Williams and Hunter were married for 22 years before parting ways, and they have a 19-year-old son named Kevin Hunter, Jr., who got into a scuffle with his dad over the split.
