Why I inaugurated Burkina Faso mega cement plant – Military President Traore

Burkina Faso’s interim military president, Captain Ibrahim Traore, on Thursday explained why he inaugurated the country’s cement plant known as Société Industrielle Sino Burkina de Ciments SA (CISINOB SA).
The junta leader, Traore, disclosed this on Thursday in a statement on his X handle.

According to the cement plant located in Laongo Plateau-Central region of the country has a production capacity of 2,000 tonnes per day.

He said the plant is a symbol of partnership between his country and China, noting that it would be jobs for hundreds of youths.

“It is with legitimate pride that I inaugurated today, March 20, 2025, in Laongo in the commune of Ziniaré, Plateau-Central region, the cement plant of the Société Industrielle Sino Burkina de Ciments SA (CISINOB SA). With a production capacity of 2,000 tonnes per day, it will provide hundreds of”jobs for the youth of my country.
