Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has congratulated Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, on the tribunal ruling that upheld his victory in the September 2024 governorship election.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, Wike described the ruling as a reaffirmation of the people's mandate.

He urged Governor Okpebholo to remain focused on delivering good governance and not be distracted by those seeking power “through the back door.”

“This victory belongs to the people of Edo State who freely elected Governor Okpebholo. I am confident in his ability to bring much-needed progress to the state,” Wike stated.

The FCT Minister further expressed optimism about the governor’s leadership, emphasizing that Okpebholo’s administration is on the right path to making a meaningful impact.
