World Cup: Not good news – England forward, Saka reacts to Gabriel Jesus’ injury

Published on December 06, 2022 at 01:54 PM

England forward, Bukayo Saka has said that he was gutted to learn about the injury sustained by Brazil striker, Gabriel Jesus at the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Saka, who scored a goal in England’s 3-0 win against Senegal in the round of 16 on Sunday, stated this ahead of the Three Lions’ World Cup quarter-final tie against France on Saturday.

Saka and Jesus are both club teammates at Premier League giants Arsenal.

The 21-year-old was asked about Jesus, who has been ruled out of the World Cup after suffering a knee injury.

“He is a very, very, very important player for us [Arsenal] and it is not good to hear the news,”; Saka said about Gabriel Jesus’ injury.

“Obviously, I have messaged him and I think he is going to see the doctor and see what he needs to do for the next steps.

“It is definitely not good news when I heard that.”;
