A GORGEOUS former football has swapped her football boots for wrestling ones after being unveiled as WWE’s latest recruit.
The 23-year-old Jade Gentile, who hails from New York, was playing a flying winger for Icelandic side UMF Afturelding just six months ago.
Now she is preparing to enter the ring after being named as part of WWE developmental brand NXT’s fall class of 2022.
And her exploits led to her being offered the opportunity to play professionally in Iceland.
Gentile arrived back in America from Iceland during the summer after enjoying two campaigns on the volcanic island.
But just days after her return she took the first step towards a career for the Triple H-ran WWE.
The beautiful brunette attended a WWE trial in Nashville – and she admits she found it a lot tougher that she expected.
She told WrestleRant: “It’s very physically demanding… yes, yes, 100%, soccer is what I thought the hardest sport there is – because in football, obviously, you’re taking tackles, but they’ve got pads! You don’t have pads in soccer.
“So you’re getting hit hard, you’re tackling people hard, it’s not a joke!
“I was like, ‘I’ve got this’ as I went to a foreign country and didn’t speak their language and I thought I could overcome everything. Then I came here and it pushed me to my limits!”
Gentile already boasts over 80,000 followers on Instagram – where she regularly shares snaps showing off her looks and body.
But others she posted consist of her practising her footballing skills.
She was one of 15 new recruits that were presented on NXT TV and now she will be hoping to continue her success in the sporting world by becoming Queen of the Ring.
