United States of America tech billionaire, Elon Musk's X social media platform has ranked top spot in the news category on the US App Store.
Tesla Owners of Silicon Valley disclosed this in a short post on its X account Friday.
It said X also topped the chart on free apps, noting that the plan is to sustain the momentum.
Accordingly, X displaced Reddit and Substack, which have been in the top spots since Elon Musk acquired the former X.
“Top spot in the News category on the U.S. App Store â and in free apps too. Reddit and Substack just got pushed down. X isn’t slowing down,” Tesla Owners of Silicon Valley wrote on X and reported to Elon Musk.
Recall that in October 2022, Musk paid $44 to acquire Twitter, rebranded to X.
Bloomberg on Wednesday, citing anonymous sources, reported that X is in talks to raise money that would value the company at $44 billion.
