Zamfara: Bandits attack Rukumawa village, set houses ablaze

Armed bandits attacked Rukumawa village in Jangebe District, Talata Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara State on Monday, setting houses and silos on fire before rustling livestock.
The incident was contained in a post by security analyst, Zagazola Makama on Tuesday.

According to intelligence sources, the attackers burned four houses and five silos before fleeing with an undisclosed number of livestock.

A joint security team comprising army troops, police officers, and members of the Community Protection Guards (CPG) was quickly deployed to the scene to contain the situation.

“The security team, led by Jangebe, successfully extinguished the fire, preventing further destruction,” a source said.

There were no reported casualties or kidnappings during the attack.
