Published on April 30, 2025 at 08:39 AM

Bandits have attacked Yar Tasha Sahabi, a community in the Dansadau Emirate of Maru Local Government Area, Zamfara State, leaving several people injured, shops looted, and properties destroyed.

The assault, which occurred late Monday night, comes shortly after the community reportedly rejected any form of dialogue with the armed groups operating across the emirate.

Security analyst, Bakatsine disclosed the incident in a post on X on Tuesday.

“Bandits attacked Yar Tasha Sahabi in Dansadau Emirate, Maru LGA of Zamfara State last night, several people injured, shops looted and properties destroyed.

“The attack comes in spite of the community’s firm refusal to engage in dialogue with bandits across the Emirate,”; Bakatsine wrote.

Security agencies are yet to release a statement on the attack.
